True Detective: The Big Never (2019)
Season 3, Episode 3
8/10
Pros & Cons.

Warning: Spoilers
First off, let me address some of the issues raised by people lower down in thos thread. Not once does this try to demoise white people... at all. Its almost a laughable statement. There is one instance where race is concerned towards the end of the episode and it is literally banter between two friends.

Now as for this episode and what it offers. The first two episodes quite clearly set the benchmark high for this season and got the ball rolling on what is so far a very interesting plot with some intriguing elements of dementia/memory loss utilised throughout.

Compared with the first two, yes this wasn't as fast paced in terms of delivering major story/plot points to carry the plot along. But it did however contain some very interesting moments that will no doubt play a major role in story development at some point.

  • What did Wayne leave out of his reports?
  • What is the link between the photo album and the murder?
  • And what is in the bag that the native american trash guy picks up? A body or a rifle for retaliation?

The two main characters have just met once again in the 90's story line. I feel as the the plateau is over and this season will up the stakes every episode from here on out.

Like if you agree.
