INVASION, U.S.A. is a hilariously overblown B-movie war flick which follows the lives of a bunch of characters holed up in a bar and watching WW3 unfold when American itself is bombed, nuked and invaded by Russian paratroops. What this turns out to be is a film that relies heavily on old battle stock footage from various grainy war films, linked by having characters narrate the situation. It's a hoot of a watch, with melodrama and thrills ramped right up, and I think the producers managed to get a lot out of very little in the way of resources.
