Batman: Arkham Knight (2015 Video Game)
9/10
My Favorite Game in the Series

Warning: Spoilers
Out of all the Arkham games, this has to be my fave. I love the visuals, characters and new challenges. Making Scarecrow the main villain was the right choice as he provided a strong and serious threat. The Arkham Knight himself was pretty interesting. I also loved the inclusion of villains such as Prof. Pyg and Man-Bat. It was also so cool to see Oracle and interact with her because you only heard her voice in asylum and city and saw a pre-batgirl version in origins.

There are some problems that I have with this game:
  • the story sometimes is focuses a little too much on Joker for my liking
  • the Arkham Knight was more interesting when we didn't know his identity
  • Hush's side mission was WAY too short
  • TOO. MUCH. BATMOBILE.
  • cobra tanks
  • Deathstroke was completely wasted
  • Riddler and his speeches
  • lack of boss battles/ wasted opportunities for EPIC boss battles

Things I enjoyed:
  • Scarecrow as the main villain
  • Batman's duality with Joker
  • Joker singing
  • beautiful graphics and designs
  • inclusion of new villains and old ones like Firefly
  • Azrael's side mission and Prof. Pyg's side mission
  • fighting alongside catwoman (at least Riddler HAD a decent side mission)
  • Scarecrow actually defeating Batman in a way
  • Oracle's supposed death
  • Ivy working with Batman
  • villain dialogues when they chat with each other in max security
  • voice acting is brilliant
  • "Welcome to Gotham, the City of Fear!"

Overall, this game is a masterpiece. While not perfect, many of the flaws I mentioned can either be ignored or are my personal thoughts. The positives outweigh the negatives for me. Scarecrow is definitely one of the best parts of game. In my opinion, the fear of Scarecrow is that he is such an evil and destructive villain in this game. I think he's worse than Joker and Prof. Pyg and provides a big challenge for Batman. The ending to this game is also brilliant and mysterious. I won't spoil it though. Batman: Arkham Knight is definitely worth checking out in my opinion.
