This is one of my favorite episodes in s2, I'm a big fan of flashback episodes, I find the most effective ones are those that change the way I feel about a character after I watch their backstory, and this show has about 6 of them, all are amazing well written character pieces, this one is no exception, as we see Bobbi and Mack struggle the day shield fell we come to understand what they have been through and I actually came out of the episode on their side! Edward James Olmos is a superstar, he really helped make this episode as powerful as it turned out to be, and while I have my reservations about "real shield" coming after our team, I thought the writer really did a great job in portraying that conflict in a way where you understand both sides , Incidentally, they did this better than a similar story line on Battle Star Galactica, EJO's show that was all about grey area morality and understandable conflict, so it's shocking to me that Agents of Shield could handle an issue better!
