Very nasty black comedy a group of friends approaching middle age and their relationships with one another and others. The film is almost all dialogue, much of it concerning sex and almost all of it mean spirited.
Good performances across the board, including easily the best performance anyone has ever gotten out of Jason Patric - he is quite convincing as an incredibly nasty and unrepentant character.
The humor like that found in The Company of Men (Neil Labute's previous effort) may be difficult to endure for some due to it's cruel nature is still very insightful.
