Review of RoboCop

RoboCop (1987)
8/10
Gruesome but Entertaining.

This must be one of the most violent movies I've seen in my entire life.

The plot is well structured, the actors are good, the special effects and action scenes are captivating and believable. RoboCop's armor looks great, and the stop motion effects used for the ED-209 are superb. The score, composed by Basil Poledouris, is a milestone of the '80s.

Curiously, I was very fond of RoboCop (the character) in my childhood years, but this is definitely not a movie for children. Dystopian and disturbing (the ads and news broadcasts, in particular, give me the chills), I give it 8/10 stars, just because it is too horrifying for my taste. It's not a movie I would enjoy watching over and over again, but technically speaking, I find no flaws in it.
