Halloween Time at Wolfram & Hart
30 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
In "Life of the Party", it's time for Wolfram & Hart's annual Halloween bash. Naturally, Lorne is the party organizer and has to cajole the rest of the group into attending. But something about this party is a tad off... Whatever Lorne tells people to do they are forced to do it. It turns out that he had WR&H remove his sleep and has been going non-stop for weeks, a bad move for an empath demon. He's not causing people's destinies and his subconscious has manifest itself in a physical form. It attacks the party and starts killing guests. A confused and distracted gang must stop it all before it's too late.

We don't get too many Lorne-focused episodes, he always seems to be there but off to the side a bit. So it's nice when we get to focus on him, he's a great character! Here we get to see the gang let loose and even develop a bit. Fred confides in Wes her feelings for Knox whilst drunk, an odd move for her considering she knows of his old feelings for her. He gets straight up friend-zoned here. And Gunn and Fred's previous relationship seems to have been completely forgotten by the writers which is slightly annoying.

Even Angel develops a bit here, sleeping with the mysterious Eve, possibly symbolizing him moving past Cordy and onto other things.

Anyways, this is another strong episode to kick off Season 5. I've really enjoyed it all thus far.
