Review of Stutterer

Stutterer (2015)
8/10
Great Choice for the Oscar

Warning: Spoilers
Really good film about communication and a great use of the short film medium.

Greenwood is young man with a stutter which makes it difficult for him interact with others, he's become close to a woman Ellie online and his been chatting with her for 6 months. When Ellie announces she will be coming to London and would like to meet he doesn't know what to do.

The theme of communication is interesting, from Greenwood's job as a typesetter, to the sign language he is learning to deal with those that try to speak with him on the street, texting and non verbal communication.

So glad to see this pick up the Oscar for Best Short Film as it was my favorite of the nominees.
