Firstly, I go into any series by Shane Meadows with optimism, and with an actor such as Stephen Graham, it is hard to see how this can be anything but fantastic.
Of course, at the time of the report I have only watched one episode. Not going to give anything away except to say as I watch it I already feel in the shoes of the lead character, and feel the pain and heartache that he is in and what will undoubtedly follow him on his journey.
The style of the directing along with the quality of real life acting has already left me longing for more as I begin episodev2. It won't be nice, it certainly won't be pretty, but I know the storyline will be unwrapped at a perfect pace.
