Rio Cutler (Jake Schur) is a tween boy who shoots his abusive father. Rio and his older sister Sara (Leila George) go on the run from their uncle who doesn't see the facts their way. They end up entangled with Billy the Kid (Dane DeHaan) who is really a nice fellow. Sheriff Pat Garrett (Ethan Hawke) is on his tail.
This was a decent western. It includes a fairly accurate description of his escape from jail, minus the Rio aspect. However, Rio would account for stories of Billy's survival. Nice script.
