Much like other HBO documentaries the viewer starts off by having one opinion and by the end you're persuaded to see a different side. I was one of those people that thought Michelle was just a evil girl with a cold heart. But when the entire story is revealed and the texts (and not just those in the weeks leading up to Conrads suicide) are explained in greater context, I started to feel genuine sympathy for her. Is she culpable, yes. But I think she is mentally ill, lonely and created an entire world around her not based on reality. She needs help, not jail.
