There aren't specific reasons i hated this movie. there wasn't a bunch of dumb stuff i could make fun of. i just couldn't get into it, AT ALL. i struggled to get through it. the only reason i finished it is because i wanted to see how the mystery unfolded. i found it almost completely useless (1 viewing)

the one thing that got me to give this a 2 star rating instead of 1 star is the twist at the end. the two stories being told are not happening at the same time. the story with the dude and two girls took place when the doctor's son first went missing. it did give me goosebumps when they revealed it. it still didn't make the rest of the movie much better. in fact, the story with the 3 in the cabin becomes basically pointless. the doctor's storyline is about finding out what happened to his son. the 3 in the cabin are basically just a random story that has no impact on the story other than to be the reveal for the doctor's story. the 3 in the cabin didn't even give us any really ending. that story on it's own is useless. husband, wife, wife's best friend go to a cabin to get it ready to become a BnB. scary stuff starts happening because the dead kid is in the septic tank (they are unaware). wife finds out husband and best friend sexed and are having a baby. scary stuff kills husband and friend. wife stays with the haunted kid, maybe also dead... that story on it's own is terrible. the cheating drama and baby issues had no use in this movie at all
