Diane's treatment of Frasier is almost maternal. He is an accomplished psychologist with significant clientele, and yet she thinks he is so fragile she has to look out for him. When Sam and the boys take him along on a fishing trip, he gets the old "snipe hunt" treatment. The way Diane reacts, you'd think the guy was a sugar plum. But Frasier is much more aware than we give him credit for. Good episode.
