As explained in print at the beginning of this short, Richard Williams was a young man living in Spain when he did some still drawings at a nearby circus which are shown at the beginning and end of the this film. A few decades later, he then animated and colored those drawings which are also shown here. I'll just now say this was quite a wonderful discovery of his works that's been shown online since he passed several days ago. So that's a high recommendation of Circus Drawings.
