This series of movies is all about taking a different look at the Godzilla monsters. They do this with Mechagodzilla by making it a stationary city built from its still active remains. While this is a new take it is distinctly less entertaining than a giant robot fighting Godzilla. This coupled with a bland and annoying protagonist makes for a fairly disappointing film.
