Worth Separating a Family?
5 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The Parent Trap is a great, fun and exciting movie to watch as a family; however, it is incredibly important to note that from a sociological view on the role of the family in society, this movie is bad. The movie basically states that separating twins at birth just because you and your partner no longer work is the right thing to do, even though that means they will grow up without both their parents present, as well as their twin!

Hallie and Annie grow extremely close over their summer excursion at camp, and deciding to switch places just so the other can spend time with the parent they lived with is somewhat selfish, yet somewhat genius. Afterall, they truly did nothing wrong to deserve growing up without both their parents present in their lives.

I will say that this movie makes the relationships between everyone seem rather trivial and like just being blood related to someone means that you will automatically have a bond with them, but at least the movie makes everyone laugh and smile.
