The trailer for this movie held a lot of promise. But there were three major issues. First there were unnecessary side plots such as Bryan's drug use and the quasi-love triangle between Bryan, Murielle and Devon. Second, Jamal's character was badly written, unfortunately stereotyped (and at times painfully annoying). Finally, the biggest issue was the convoluted ending involving Devon's betrayal and his coming as the Anti-Christ. Sometimes, simpler is just better. Here's how it would have been instantly better: completely dispense with the subplots and the plot twist at the end. Keep it simple, tight and straightforward. And tone down Jamal's character.
If the filmmakers just stuck to the basic premise of a team web filmmakers seeking greater fame and fortune but instead getting more than they bargained for, that'd been fine.
