I haven't read the book so I will only share my opinions about the show itself. I just love Kathryn Hahn so much that I don't think I will even dare to put my negative thoughts about the show here; I am so glad she got a TV series of her own, it was long over due. I wish her character or the supporting characters's backstory was explored more throughly yet maybe this wasn't how it was suppose to be for a 30 minute long show. Her son was just the most terrifying character ever, I was so disturbed by him even though I love complicated characters. He was just like "get out of my screen dude, I have wanted have some good time and you are ruining it."
Overall, I do think it is worth watching just for the sake of Kathryn Hahn having a existential crisis.
