Olivia Cooke is absolutely phenomenal in her portrayal of, Katie, a small town girl, struggling to build a better life for herself. All the roles were incredibly well-acted, but Olivia's performance is so believable and raw, that there were times I forgot I was watching a movie and not actually observing someone's real life.
As others have mentioned, some scenes were quite difficult to watch, but overall, there's valuable lessons to be learned about life, perseverance, and the human spirit. This film is a beautifully-crafted slow burn, that will break your heart and will stay with you long after the credits have rolled.
