Not as inept as Ed Wood's other films. It's the closest thing to a legitimately 'good' movie he ever made. Although it's basically just a generic B cheapie that doesn't stand out from a dozen similar films from same time. It's a little more competently made than Wood's usual work. Bela Lugosi is fun to watch if you can put aside knowledge of his real-life issues at the time that may make his over the top performance more sad than amusing.
