Review of The Stranger

The Stranger (II) (2020)
7/10
The panic in the city of dreams.

The Stranger is a sinister adventure, a grim journey starring fear, survival, and loneliness. High quality product that plays with the dangers of society and that uses film history as a potential to connect with the essence of the characters. Maika Monroe directs the plot in a maze of panic, bravery and desolation. Avan Jogia transmits warmth, determination and humanity to JJ. A simple, comical, and honest boy with enough courage to fight disaster. Or at least, to doubt the kind and manipulated reality. Dane DeHaan is the living image of evil as Carl. A cold character, thirsty for chaos and supremacy who loves to sow death and destruction to define himself as the king of the game. With megalomaniac and scary tints, Dane perfectly fits the role, goes directly to freeze the blood. I recommend it!
