I saw a part of the movie while i was waiting for Star Wars to begin back in 1997 as I snuck into a showing with my dad at the now gone Loews Secaucus plaza 8 and thought it looked silly and was more like an 80s style alien robot movie with a message. It didn't catch fire at the box office but has seen been seen more on TV and streaming and is now a cult classic.
