When you watch this shortly after having seen "Funny people" ... now obviously Funny people is a dramatization, but as "real" as this right here is, it also heightens a couple of things. People do act differently at times, when cameras are on them. It just is something that is inevitable - maybe not for all, but most do get quite self aware.
Having said that, the movie really knows how to entertain and how to highlight certain perks and downfalls of being on the road and a comedian. Sometimes being known does not help with audiences and heckling is not a new thing that came up the last couple of years. And we do like to root for the underdog don't we? Rhetorical I know - still, while Jerry may have his demons, we get a glimpse on how he "works" - no pun intended
