Review of Ramy

Ramy (2019– )

Atlanta, Master of None, Louie and now this

Like all the other shows mentioned in the subject Ramy takes a deep dive into the culture the protagonist lives in. It's funny, sad, emotional, hilarious and is a rollercoaster for emotions. Don't think of it as a comedy it's a show about the reality of living in Muslim/ethnic family and because it's a TV show and not a documentary there are some exaggerations which people in other reviews can't grasp but what can you do. As an ethnic immigrant who grew around Muslims in Australia, this show is stirs up conversation of the taboos in a brown society and explores each character with time and care. Again if you're a fan of the other shows you'll love this, if not then give it a shot with any expectations (specially expectation to be offended)
