This film had great potential to be beautiful but the character of Bryce was too inherently dislikable, and I did not wish him a happy ending. The reason why he was that way was not explored enough (the subplot surrounding his father) to forgive or even try to understand his behaviour. Juli was a beautifully spirited character and the film followed her journey of realising that Bryce was not all she first saw in him. Therefore, the ending was out of place, and frankly a bit of a cop out.
