Life Song (2016–2017)
10/10
Best Turkish Romantic Drama I have ever watched

Hayat Sarkisi or the song of life is a beautiful story of a girl who undertakes unconventional strategies to gain the love of her childhood love, who is a free spirit. You will laugh, cry, feel sad, get confused with Hayat Sarkisi. Not only for the protagonists but also for the supporting characters will also overwhelm you & take you through the ups & downs of life. Hulya, played by Burcu Biricik, is adorable in her role & unlike other damsel in distress female protagonists of general romantic drama she can take care of herself & save the day without the help of the hero. Yes she has a wonderful support system to drag her out of danger but you will find, she is home & adventure all at once. Real showstopper is the young Hulya, who cames back in flasbacks as a reminder of her long love for Kerem. Birkan Sokollu is handsome a ever & fits the bill of a free spirited environmentalist who is unable to handle his wife's adventures & affinity for danger, but eventually will fall in love with her in due course of time. Last but not the least is Olgun Toker as Mahir Duru, Hulya's mafia teammate, will keep you on you toe with grey cell stimulating comic relief, bringing a refreshing perspective to the romantic drama. Though certain characters are overtly dramatic but you will love them all. Hayat Sarkisi has nothing to dislike. It's one of the most feminist drama I have ever watched where istead pulling someone down, people are uplifting others. Highly recommended.
