Still a bit Rusty
16 September 2020
For an hour or two of mindless entertainment this show is spot on. Mike and Avery are great. They are like Abbott and Costello restore a car. Or Ralph Kramden and Ed Norton open a body shop. But after a couple of episodes its like "come on". As many reviews I read state- too much on the side stories, not enough on the restorations. And there is too much whining about money and lack there of. The problem with this show is the same with a lot of programs - they are good in small doses but to binge? No - too many holes. Too much gristle, not enough meat, same things repeated too often to hear or see in a short period of time. I refer to this as "The 24 Dilemma" . You can watch Jack Bauer save the world every month or so, but when he does it twice in the span of 4 hours its too much. Watch it for the guilty pleasure it is. Mike is a hoot.
