The Range Busters visit a town filled with idiots!
4 December 2020
Luke (Kermit Maynard) is the local marshal. However, the town's been grumbling, as there have been a long string of stage holdups and no real leads. But it goes well beyond grumbling and it's obvious to anyone except for the knuckleheads in this town that someone is orchestrating all the bad publicity for the honest marshal. Fortunately, Luke contacts his friends, the Range Busters, and the trio come to this town to figure out what's really happening. But their job is tough, as the brainless locals are in a mood to lynch SOMEBODY....and it may as well be our heroes!

This is a pretty typical Range Buster film in most ways. First, it stars the most familiar lineup of Ray Corrigan, Dusty King and Tex Terhune. Second, the idea of a local unknown baddie stirring things up is incredibly familiar. About the only thing not familiar is in a tiny throwaway scene, as we see Terhune's annoying ventriloquist dummy moving and talking on its own!!! There's no followup to this, no exorcism...nothing! And, the way they handled it made me chuckle. Otherwise, this is a competent, average and not especially distinguished installment in the franchise.
