This movie is the polar opposite of every Cage film for the last 20 years (pretty much).
Its a subdued movie with a subdued Cage performance. It is not his most exciting movie but it does tell a reasonable, and somewhat realistic, story regarding the compromise of politics and the unrealistic expectation that public officials are flawless human beings.
Paulson is good in this (and everything else she does!) and Honda delivers I guess what we have come to expect from him in the later years.
This movie is not the Cage film to test out the sound of your home theatre on, but it is a good film.
