The characters were all caricatures and stereotypes. I don't remember the USA hating Iranians that much in 1979. Sure, we had the hostage thing; but we already had tons of Iranian refugees, after the ouster of the Shah. They liked to call themselves Persians. I don't know what I think of this movie's versions of Persians. I remember they loved disco. Some of wrestling was realistic, some was improbably weird. Gets four stars.
