Gilda (1946)
7/10
Flipping channels I caught it and for some reason, couldn't let go.

All kinds of metrics to critique a film by yet one important one, does it pull you in and take you along for the ride. This one does. It's 2021 and not my typical film to set out to watch yet glad I stumbled upon it. The style, acting or over acting was such a pleasure to watch for a change. The honesty without the PC and abrasiveness was refreshing and, I finally got to see why Rita Hayworth was such a hit. Very familiar with Glenn Ford yet first time I've seen her in a film other than her referenced in one of my All time favorites...Shawshank Redemption. I've haven't watched classics for a lot of years. Now I understand better why this generation is listening to 'records' again. Oh, excuse me, another noir film is coming on, think I'll give this table a spin too.
