"The Gabby Douglas Story" is a Biography - Sport movie in which we watch the life story of Gabrielle Douglas, the first African American to become the Individual All-Around Champion and the first American to win gold in both the individual all-around and team competitions at the same Olympic Games.
I liked this movie very much because it is based on a true story and it presents very the difficulties and the obstacles that Gabrielle Douglas and her family had to overcome in order to succeed. The interpretations of both Regina King who played as Natalie Hawkins and Imani Hakim who played as Gabby (14 - 16 Years), were simply amazing and the both made the difference. The direction which was made by Gregg Champion was very good and I enjoyed the way he presented the difficulties and the sacrifices of Douglas family for the success of Gabrielle. Finally, I have to say that "The Gabby Douglas Story" is a nice and simply beautiful movie that I highly recommend everyone to watch it.
