The Amateur (1981)
10/10
Better than the John Wick movies or V for Vendetta

Warning: Spoilers
The spotlight on this film is that there can never be peace without justice. How can you negotiate a truce with someone who is ( has not been and will not be) willing to play by the same bookrules that you are following ?

The ruthless sentence that this ex-policeman gives to the terrorists that killed his own loved one, is the beacon of hope for the devastating loss suffered by this person, finding nothing in the "established" system will help him solve his own situation. It's a herald of survival and a masterpiece in its own right for lost causes. I find that few films reflect the crude reality as well as this one does, and even if it is not the "wild west" out there, we'll, in situations like this, it ought to be.
