The style we all know and that some love isn't quite established here.
My favourite moments in this are done in his preference, the gun testing scene is great, but most of it is shot like any other low budget crime movie from this period.
Obviously this is extremely low budget, it really shows. The sound design and mixing are bad + they couldn't shoot many takes which results in some pretty poor performances and line delivery, namely by Owen Wilson. Something that doesn't relate to the budget is the dialogue, it's average as. I hope it's re-written a bit for the feature film.
I like the cinematography, the music is hilarious and fits perfectly and I like the quirky idea a lot, I think I'm gonna enjoy the feature.
