Entertaining Western with a twist...
14 April 2021
I had the opportunity to sit down here in 2021 to watch the 2012 Western "Heathens and Thieves". Sure, I hadn't even heard about it prior to watching it. But I found the synopsis to be somewhat interesting. And since it was a movie that I hadn't already seen, of course I found the time to watch it.

And I must admit that writer John Douglas Sinclair definitely managed to compile a rather interesting and riveting storyline. The story told in "Heathens and Thieves" was one that instantly grabbed a hold of me and brought me along on an enjoyable and entertaining ride.

The story progressed at a great pace in the movie, and that definitely served the movie quite well. And also, the storyline was one that wasn't overly predictable and writer John Douglas Sinclair had managed to put enough surprises and twists into the storyline to make it rather unique and enjoyable.

And the characters that were placed into the storyline were very rich and detailed. So that made for a very believable character gallery, which is something that is always a great thing in a movie.

It should be said that the cast they had opted to hire for this 2012 Western were quite good. There were some pretty sound and solid acting performances throughout the movie. I have to say that I really enjoyed watching Andrew Simpson (playing Saul) and Gwendoline Yeo (playing Kun Hua) in the movie. But it was also good entertainment to have Don Swayze (playing Sherman) in this 2012 Western as well.

I was genuinely entertained by directors Megan Peterson and John Douglas Sinclair's 2012 Western movie. And should you have the opportunity to sit down to watch it, you should definitely do so.

My rating of "Heathens and Thieves" land on a six out of ten stars.
