New kind of disaster
5 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I do say that I've owned this movie for a few weeks but held off watching it due to the heavy Russian accent. Wish the english was a bit better but the action sequences, the disaster itself, the effects, the oh everything else made up for it. It has that "Daylight" feel but as someone posted that it's not one man trying to save a group but everyone doing their part.

We get a few survivors trying to get out of a crippled flood subway tunnel and everything they try or any place they go seems to push them back. A doctor with his daughter along with a guy the doctor's wife is having an affair with (love triangle story) two teens and a pickpocket thief are the mixed characters. The suspense is amazing. At just over two hours this movie holds your attention right to the end. Actually what also amazes me is there are really no wasted characters.

The main story basically stays in the tunnel where the story takes place, a few scenes on land such as the rescue attempts, a worried mother and authorities trying to assure that there are no other survivors trapped.

The only thing I have against this movie is it starts to drag on. After an hour and 45 minutes it seems they start adding things to prolong what should have ended. Other than that this movie is great.
