The Challenger (I) (2015)

It's ok.

Warning: Spoilers
It's not a bad movie at all.

Actually watching it a little way through it actually seemed more 'Rocky' than the 'Creed' movies imo.

The only downsides were once again the division they were in. Neither looked particularly heavyweight whatsoever. Everything just seemed so rushed, like there wasn't much training scenes or back history of the characters.

First thing I noticed was Michael Clarke Duncan's character taking on the rookie. I mean from my instincts he didn't look that great. He had no stand out talent ie rocky had the strong left and had no real interest to be a boxer yet he decide to train him as "he had something" ??

I won't mention the ease at getting a title shot so quick but I will mention how it was good to see a power upper cut and knockouts in Jadens early fights but the main fight was so boring. All you ever saw were little jabs here and there. And grabbing and boring stuff. In rocky you'd have the money shot. Rocky would take a use then pow he'd hit a nice left hook stunning the opponent. But this fight had none of that.

Some bits were good some bad. Ok film.
