The Lizard (2004)
9/10
One of the most deconstructive films in the history of Iranian cinema 🔥

My dear friends, this film is an adaptation of the film Were Not Angels made by Neil Jordan and starring Robert De Niro, Sean Penn and Demi Moore but the most important point is that in the Islamic Republic of Iran no one is not allowed to joke about religion and clergy. No and if he does he will face the most severe punishments. However Kamal Tabrizi will bring this well-made film starring Parviz Parastavi to the cinema screen as beautifully as possible. I remember in 2004 or 2005 when this film was released In some cities such as Mashhad and Qom Basijis and clerics took down the poster of the movie Lizard in cinemas in protest and the screening of this movie was banned. A few Years later the Iranian leader mentioned the movie Lizard as one of the good movies in Iranian cinema.

Ps: If you have enough time to see the rest of Kamal Tabrizi's films, you will definitely experience good times.
