Weirdsville (2007)
5/10
Somewhat of an acquired taste...
27 May 2021
I stumbled upon the 2007 movie "Weirdsville" in 2021. I had heard the title before, sure, but I have never actually gotten around to watching the movie before now. Maybe because I never actually sought it out. But as the opportunity presented itself for watching it in 2021, of course I did just that.

And while "Weirdsville" definitely was a watchable movie, I just didn't find it to be an outstanding movie. It was not really a movie with a storyline or contents that found much of any appeal with my liking and tastes in stories.

The storyline in the, as written by Willem Wennekers, Sarah Dodd, Robert Conte and Dan Berman definitely had some interest aspects to it, but it was pretty far out there most of the time, and that is what killed off the movie for me. Yeah, as I mentioned, it is a watchable movie, sure, but it just didn't have what it required to be a memorable or overly great movie.

It should be said, though, that the acting performances in the movie were good, and they had cast some pretty good actors and actresses for the roles, that much was for sure. But it was just characters that had little appeal to me, so I didn't really take much of a liking to the characters in the story.

Ultimately, I found "Weirdsville" to be too bland, and that results in the lukewarm and mediocre rating of five out of ten stars that I am bestowing upon director Allan Moyle's 2007 movie.
