8/10
No way near it's current rating

Well, one thing's for certain, this is definitely not a below 6/10 mark movie.

Sure, it's no Saving Private Ryan, but it's not Rambo 2 either. So somewhere between 7 and 8 it is its current setting.

Now, the movie itself showed for more than I had initially expected, mostly due to the poor rating which may had been politically induced.

It does portray U. S. soldiers as the only true good guys in Nam, while also providing a vague reason for which US Army was there in the first place, creating a large justification moment.

Nevertheless, it is a good war movie, if watched just for that, with politics aside. There's lot of action, lot of unfairness (especially in the chain of command) and lot of tragedy, which any war is in its core in the first place.

Now, the war conflicts and barrages are being shown in a great, identifiable way, with a lot of chaos and havoc. The fact there are no untouchables in the movie, makes it a movie well before its time.

So in the end it's definitely not making into a top 10 war movies, but it is definitely in the top 30 or 20 even.

I would have given it a 7.5/10 in a heartbeat, however since there is no half point in imdb, and the fact that 5.7/10 is way below what this movie deserves, I gave it an 8, so it could pick up and once it reaches above 7, I will downgrade the grade to 7.

Anyhow, good movie, enjoyable, and Marion Robert Morrison pulls it off as a green beret Colonel at the age of 60.
