Warning: Spoilers
After having seen Peeping Tom (1960-also reviewed) at the location last week,I decided to take a look at what was currently showing at the HOME cinema in Manchester, where I found out a screening was soon to take place as part of their "Not just Bollywood" season, which led to me exploring Sudheer's filmography.

View on the film:

Covering the 499 credits that Sudheer had built up over the 70's and the 80's, co-writer/(with Radhika Anand) director Hardik Mehta makes his solo feature film debut by closely working with Piyush Puty on hilarious fake Action, Horror and Thriller clips of Sudheer's cult past credits, bursting with primary colours over crash-zooms on the kitsch overacting.

Letting the years fly by in montages to the present, Mehta counters the dazzle of Sudheer's glory years with tight close-ups on the lines running across his face, marking the decades he has been out of the spotlight.

Grasping at hope for one last chance, Mehta brings things back to reality, with stylish panning shots of Sudheer in the middle of a film shoot, out of synch with the modern movie world, but in playful slo-mo shots, getting back into the groove of his family life.

Taking a unique path to Sudheer's return to the film world, via being shown his IMDb page for the first time and discovering he has 499 acting credits, the screenplay by Mehta and Anand rolls out amusing red carpet punch-lines at the star-driven film industry, where anyone who is not the star gets brushed aside, and posters of the latest big name/big film, line the streets looking down at Sudheer.

Introducing him to fans of his 499 other films that quote dialogue from his most cult flicks, the writers brilliantly take the one last job set-up of gangster films into Sudheer's drive that his 500th screen credit will be one people won't forget, which results in upturning the family which Sudheer all but forgotten about, whilst living in the fading memory of the spotlight.

Having played similar types of supporting roles to what Sudheer did,Sanjay Mishra gives an incredible performance as Sudheer, whose decades spent always in the supporting role Mishra carries on his shoulders, with dreams of finally hitting the big time, having Sudheer discover with a warmth from Mishra, his family behind the scenes.
