I finished the last episode and then the reruns started back from the beginning.
I laughed multiple times and had a generally positive disposition through it.
I missed that in later seasons. I just finished season 10. I think I gave 1 episode in that season a 6. Everything else was lower. I hated watching season 10. Won't ever do that to myself again.
But this early Friends stuff...this is why I watched this show. Phoebe annoyed me first few seasons...but then gets less annoying...and then more annoying in a different way later on. But everyone was annoying in season 9/10.
Jack Geller was funny from the beginning.
"I'm not gonna tell you how much they spent on the wedding....... But 40 thousand dollars is a lot of money!"
To see how much they all strayed from this...how much the writing strays...so sad.
Ha. Viewership goes up, ad dollars and salaries go up....quality goes down.
I thought the pilot was just ok...but this is better than the pilot, I think.
Still flushing out the characters etc...so I wasn't expecting much on a rewatch. Pleasantly surprised.
Every scene doesn't have to get a laugh or be funny...or over the top funny.
That got worse and worse as the series died it's slow agonizing death.
It's better to not be funny...than to try and shoe horn in some funny where it does more harm than good.
