Watch if You Can't Sleep.

Resident Evil Infinite Boredom. PC mag said it well "Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is like a terrible cutscene you can't skip".

The setup is okay enough in the first episode in regards to the story. Unfortunately after episode one everything is a constant exposition dump and no surprises are left instore unless your brain doesn't work. The pacing doesn't help either so if you're looking for some good fights, gore or scares look somewhere else.

I would say 20% the animation looks passable. The rest of the time I was distracted by terrible lip-syncing, a camera that lingers on characters with no expressions, camera angles that purposely hide characters faces so we don't have to see how awful it looks. You can tell this production was rushed.

The dialogue is another story. I think there was one or two lines that made me smirk because of how cheesy it was (mostly from Leon). The rest of the dialogue is cringe at best. The one scene on the submarine in episode 2 where Leon and we'll call him "obvious antagonist" because I can't remember his name. The discussion about PTSD and where fear/terror comes from is some of the worst writing I have seen in years. Episode 3 doesn't fair any better with exposition dump/falling asleep time and four rushes everyone together in a boring finale. The screenwriters should never write anything again.

The only pleasure I had watching Infinite Darkness was laughing at a characters questionable demise because at least it was like an analogy for how lifeless her character was. I know that sounds infinitely dark but the decision leading up to her death was infinitely laughable.

Infinite Darkness is an obviously rushed product with a boring story, dull characters, boring action sequences and bad animation. I am a huge fan of resident evil since I was a kid playing the original PlayStation game, and I would rather watch Resident Evil the Final Chapter than have to sit throw this turd again.

One last note I forgot to mention...after the first episode I fell asleep before the end of each consecutive episode. Each episode is only a little more then twenty minutes so if you can't fall asleep then I highly recommend Infinite Darkness. Two points for sleep-aid!
