A typical vehicle for Norman Wisdom doing his bumbling, everyman routine. Here he wants to be a policeman but is too short, but eventualyl he gets involved in a plot involving an Italian thief. Wisdom plays a dual role here and his stereotyped baddie is very irritating, but it does come together for a very funny climax. Elsewhere it's the usual mix of silly gags and familiar faces.
