STRAIGHT-LACED TO A FAULT...NO MYSTERY MYSTERY...MARIE WINDSOR'S ELEMENT & FILM
19 August 2021
Reeking of a Mid-50's Lackluster Unimaginative Cinema.

It Manages to take a Murder-Mystery and Film-Noir and Coat it with so Much Blandness that Both Genres are Stripped of Anything Remarkable.

The Murderer is Telegraphed by the Suspected Characters,

It Could Only be One.

Especially when the Movie is Void of Twists or Interesting Side-Bars or Road-Blocks.

The Movie does Give Marie Windsor a Chance to Star and Bring Her Notable Femme Fatale and Bad-Girl Persona and She Doesn't Hold Back.

All of the Characters are Boring, Vanilla, MId-50's Stereo-Types.

The Plot is A-B-C, 1-2-3 with Nary a Deviation.

Hollywood at its Most Mundane and Uninteresting.

Windsor's Witch and some Nice L. A. Locations are the Only Things that make it...

Worth a Watch.
