At least I liked the dog!
30 August 2021
Bob (Regis Toomey) works for the Border Patrol. His nemesis is Zorro...a Mexican smuggler who keeps evading him. Now here is where it gets stupid. Bob cannot meet his sister when she arrives by train to visit him, so he leaves her in the care of his dog, Rinty (Rin Tin Tin Jr.). Soon Zorro arrives at Bob's cabin and the sister and Rinty are there....and Zorro kills the sister as Rinty attacks and tries to save her. When Bob returns, he's mad at the dog and throws him out...blaming the pooch for his sister's death. Now, Bob COULD have blamed Zorro or himself since he wasn't there to protect her. Instead, he treats man's best friend like dirt....what a jerk!!

Soon after, Bob quits the service in order to devote his time to finding Zorro...which really doesn't make a lot of since when you think about it. After all, he was a Border agent and you'd THINK some of the crooks in Zorro's gang would recognize him. Add this to the abominable way he treats his doggy, you can see why Rin Tin Tin Jr. Was billed above Regis Toomey when the film began!!

Although the other two reviewers really liked the film, I thought it was a pretty typical B-movie and nothing more. Sure, the dog is cute....and that's really the only thing I thought the movie had going for it. Otherwise, it's passable entertainment and nothing more.
