An exceptionally cheesy action-adventure movie, shot in New Zealand by actor-turned-director David Hemmings. It's a pretty forgettable affair and no surprise that I hadn't actually heard of it before watching. Donald Pleasence takes hamming it to the next level in his role as a drunk who heads off in the hunt for a downed plane from WW2 full of gold bullion. A couple of bland young 'uns accompany him while an equally hammy George Peppard is on his tail. Lots of vehicular chasing in a CANNONBALL RUN era alongside dreadful dialogue and slow plot progression.
