Another day, another familiar B-movie with by rote plot ingredients and a general hackneyed feel. This one feels cheaper than ever with a general fake look to it and a no name and underperforming cast, with the exception of former DESPERATE HOUSEWIFE star Jesse Metcalfe as the rugged hero. We're stuck on an interminable yacht cruise with hateful characters for about an hour, then the main plot is crammed in at the end. It's cheap and boring and the only interesting element is the use of the same shade of purple as in the following year's COLOR OUT OF SPACE adaptation.
