Had potential but!

Warning: Spoilers
I liked the light tone of the film, good actors and I think it had potential. Unfortunately too many issues and holes in the story left it less than mediocre:

First, the movie presumes to portray real life, so how come we don't know anything about the guy except for his relationship issues - he never works, has no friends (except for an ex), and struggles with nothing apart from his ability to stay in a relationship. As for her - unless she's super rich (and it doesn't look like she is) it's pretty difficult to be divorced and raise two small children in NYC, yet that's not a consideration in her conflict as to whether or not to keep the baby after getting accidentally pregnant from a guy she barely knows.

Second, a grown woman with two kids should recognize this type of selfish and childish douche who runs away when things get heavy at a much earlier stage - all the warning lights are there! But instead, she behaves like an teenager and flows with this relationship until the inevitable end.

Third- in what world, a divorced woman who already has two small kids, is seriously thinking about keeping a baby from a man she had one blind date with that ended in bed? Again, cost of raising a baby along with the huge responsibility are not even a consideration.

Fourth - the political issue around abortions is forced into the script and doesn't seem to belong there at all.

Fifth- all in all, I don't see the point in this film. Neither of the leads went through something that changed them by even a little or have new perspective. It's the same old story about a woman getting into a relationship with the wrong guy and we know how this ends. It's too weird that she wants to keep his baby.

A pity since the actors are really good and the tone was realistic & light. Could have been way better.
