American Horror Story: The Future Perfect (2021)
Season 10, Episode 10
5/10
So, no payoff then...

Well, that was a waste.

This season was a complete waste.

One recurring thing I've notice throughout AHS' run is that the season starts of interesting but then they lose you about halfway through. It's as if they grab you and pull you in at the start, then let go, like they loosten the grip. Only season that was watchable all the way through the end was S9, AHS 1984. (well in my opinion at least...)

This one was no different. The vampire one started of great. It had a mystery sorounding it. You were pulled in. You wanted to know what was going on. Then, pooft. Everything went down the drain.

Now, we have the Alien segment. Started of ok, took a downward curv in the second episode, hit rock bottom in the third, and well, what's below rock bottom? This episode. The end was empty. It's not bad to have bad endings. The vampire segment had a bad ending, but still it felt like a conclusion. A bad conclusion of a good segment, but a conclusion nonetheless. This one, the conclusion to the Alien segment had nothing. Nada!!! No payoff.

It's as if the writers have trouble creating a proper ending to a story.

In any case, this season was a waste. I'm not saying goodbye to AHS. But I really hope they do better with future projects. And, please, please, please; keep those dumb horrible screenplays (including but not limited to those young untalented actors...) for the reject spinoff, American Horror Stories (2021) the PENAL COLONY so to speak, as it seems like this one was a dump for all their earlier failed ideas that never left the editing floor.

5 stars for Season 10, Episode 07, 08, 09 & 10 for the performance alone of all the Black and White segments actors who did a fine job with what they were given. Kudos to Neal McDonough and Craig Sheffer for playing presidents Eisenhower and Nixon respectively.

P. S: I'm kinda the oddball here since my favorite season of AHS is still S9, 1984 baby. I'm guessing it has more to do with 80's nostalgia. Cheers.
